C.S. Osborne #469 Leather thinning knife
This tool, suitable for both right- and left-handed users, is used to skive leather, that is, to reduce its thickness (thin the leather) to facilitate assembly or create turned edges. Mastering this tool requires some practice on scraps of leather.
It has a maple wood handle and a steel ferrule.
