Filet plat avec guide pour fer à fileter - Serie F - Regad
Made in France by Regad, a French manufacturer of power tools for manual leather finishing since 1930.
This flat foil with a guide allows you to create fine decorative lines on your leather pieces.
This tool is positioned at the edge of your leather piece (hot foil stamping technique). The foil acts as a guide along the edge of your leather piece, ensuring a line perfectly parallel to your cut.
During use, this foil also smooths the raised fibers of the edge.
The appearance of the foil on the leather depends on several factors, such as the tool's temperature, the type of leather, and the speed at which the hot tool passes over the leather. We recommend always testing on scrap leather to adjust the settings.
Usage recommendations: Regularly check that the hot foil is securely attached to the handle to prevent oxidation and electrical shorts between the tool and the handle.
The tips may darken to varying degrees after a few uses. Residues of edge dye or other finishing products may also remain stuck to your tools.
You can clean them by applying polishing paste to a piece of leather and rubbing the warm tool (TH2 to 4) on it. For extremely dirty tools, extra-fine steel wool (000) can be used. Be careful not to touch the heating element to avoid damaging it.
