Eco-Flo Dye, Tandy Leather

The Eco-Flo leather dye is a water-based penetrating leather dye with low VOC content, designed for use on natural vegetable-tanned tooling leather. It is ideal for overall solid color dyeing or as a base dye. Also use for floral, figurative, and pictorial coloring. Do not use on suede.

Application tips:

To be used on naturally vegetable-tanned tool leathers. Make sure the surface of the leather is as clean as possible.

Apply with an artist brush, a wool dauber, an airbrush, or a spray aerosol. Dilute with water.

Let the project dry completely.

Polish with a clean piece of sheep wool or a soft cloth to remove excess surface pigment before applying the finish.

Repeat until the desired shade is achieved.

Seal with a top finish coat. All Tandy Leather finishes are compatible with this product.

Clean with water and soap.

NOTE: Some finishes will absorb a small amount of color from water-based dyes. To protect against unsightly stains on background-stained projects, multicolored figures, or pictorial sculpted projects, first apply the finish to the stained area with a brush to set the colors before applying the final coat with a sponge or soft cloth.
